The Los Angeles Lakers made headlines following their sensational win against the Phoenix Suns in the quarter-finals of the NBA In-Season Tournament.

After a hard-fought battle across four quarters, the Lakers ended up getting the win as the final score stood 106-103 in favor of them.

Sure, LeBron James and Anthony Davis were the stars of the show, but Austin Reaves played a crucial role in the victory as well.

Reaves hit a sensational game-winner in the dying seconds of the game, and his teammate Jarred Vanderbilt heaped huge praise on him via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.

“He’s not scared of the moment to take or make those big shots… he’s a hell of a player, he’s just a dog,” Vanderbilt said.

Vanderbilt pointed out that Reaves is always ready to take a big shot for the Lakers to seal the game.

To be honest, every team needs a player like Reaves on the roster who isn’t afraid of being burdened with the pressure of winning the game.

Reaves played 27 minutes game for the Lakers against the Suns and finished the game with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Apart from hitting the game-winner, Reaves also spearheaded the Lakers’ sensational scoring run in the third quarter of the matchup.

All things considered, Reaves proved his doubters wrong, who questioned the Lakers’ decision to hand him a four-year $53.8 million contract extension earlier this summer.

For the season, Reaves is averaging 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for the Purple and Gold.

Following the sensational win, the Lakers are now the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 13-9 record.

Can the Lakers extend their two-game winning streak over the next few weeks? Only time will tell.
