For the first time in the entire playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks have lost two games in a row.
Game 2 was also the first second game of a series they’ve lost thus far, and they chose the absolute worst time to get into a bit of a slump.
Jason Kidd’s team will head back home down 0-2 and with their backs against the wall.
Nonetheless, the former NBA star and current coach isn’t ready to hit the panic button just yet.
When asked his thoughts about going back home with a 0-2 deficit, Kidd argued that this group knew how to regroup and that even though they weren’t able to get two wins on the road or at least get a split, they still had faith in what they can do (via NBA).

On paper, the Mavericks still have a big chance to get back into this series.
Still, they desperately need Kyrie Irving to play much better.
Luka Doncic bounced back after an uncharacteristically off night in Game 1, getting his teammates involved with his passing after logging just one assist in the first game of the series.
The supporting cast was significantly better on the defensive end of the floor in Game 2, but they missed plenty of wide-open shots and haven’t been able to keep up with the Celtics’ offensive juggernaut and firepower.
It won’t be easy, but this team was one of the best — if not the best — in the league since the All-Star break, so it wouldn’t be wise to count them out just yet.
