The Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday night was a statement game that was meant to send a message to the rest of the NBA.
It definitely did and now many people are taking notice of the Timberwolves and praising their hard work and exceptional power.
On Tuesday’s “Get Up,” Jay Williams expressed his admiration for everything that the Timberwolves are doing.
“[The Timberwolves] are the best team right now in basketball,” Williams said, praising them for their offensive output and especially their defensive skills.

All of that was on display on Monday night.
Not only were multiple Minnesota stars shooting super well from all over the floor, but their defense was second to none and minimized the Nuggets all night long.
Williams pointed out that the Boston Celtics are still a huge threat and they have been without one of their best stars, Kristaps Porzingis, over the last few days.
But even without their big man, Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves still looked like championship contenders.
The fact that they had their best defensive game in ages even without the frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year shows just how talented this Minnesota team is.
The fight isn’t over for the Timberwolves and they still have a lot of hard work ahead.
First, they need to keep playing as they did on Monday night in order to beat the Nuggets.
Then they will have to win the Western Conference Finals too before they can try to claim their first title.
Nothing is written in a stone and a lot can change but the Timberwolves definitely looked like the best team in the league on Monday night.
