It’s been a wild ride for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
They were arguably one of the worst teams in the league — at least record-wise — at some point in the season, and it didn’t seem like they had what it took to straighten their course.
But Darvin Ham eventually established the defensive identity he was looking for, and Rob Pelinka made all the right moves to overhaul the roster ahead of the trade deadline.
The Lakers have been excellent with their new core, and they look like a team that could pull off multiple upsets en route to an NBA championship.
Notably, NBA analyst Jay Williams pointed out the fact that Anthony Davis is arguably playing his best basketball since arriving in Southern California.

So, with Davis wreaking havoc on both ends of the glass, the Lakers playing outstanding team defense, and LeBron James back to full strength, he wouldn’t be shocked if this team messed around and wound up taking the Larry O’Brien trophy home.
Truth be told, winning a ring with no home-court advantage throughout the playoffs seems impossible.
But we’re talking about one of the prime duos in the National Basketball Association, and the roster has meshed together perfectly since the deadline.
The Lakers have enough shooting to make up for their former spacing woes.
They have enough playmaking to create shots and get the basketball where it needs to go.
And they have enough playoff experience with their two stars.
You definitely don’t want to come across them in a seven-game series.
