The Washington Commanders are entering a new era, and as such, they needed a new face for their franchise.
Fortunately for them, getting the No. 2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft gave them the perfect opportunity to find their guy.
Jayden Daniels was a special prospect, and it seems like he’s turning a lot of heads already.
Recently, NFL insider JP Finlay shared a clip of the LSU product dropping dimes at rookie minicamp.

Daniels is coming off a Heisman-winning campaign, and he was the most electrifying quarterback in the nation by a significant margin.
He embraced the responsibility of leading LSU back to the mountaintop after the Joe Burrow era, and those were some big shoes to fill, all things considered.
There was plenty of chatter about whether Daniels wanted to play in Maryland or not, but that didn’t scare the Commanders away.
If anything, it seems like their pick was never in doubt, and nor it should have been.
Daniels has drawn comparisons to both Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson for the way he instinctively scrambles and extends plays with his feet, but he’s a much more polished passer than both of them at this point in his career.
The Commanders still have plenty of adjustments to make and things to improve to be a contender, and they’re projected to finish last in the NFC East Division next season.
But Daniels is a special talent, and if they do things the right way, it shouldn’t be long before they’re back into the fold.
