The 2024 NFL Draft is quickly approaching and fans and teams have been busy studying prospects throughout the week during the annual NFL Combine.
The combine is an important event for evaluators and scouts to help them decide which players they’ll target once the draft begins.
This year’s class is the perfect one for quarterback-needy teams as there are several signal-callers that could turn a franchise around.
The most interesting one is former LSU Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels, who raised his stock the most this past season.
Daniels showed off his arm talent and running ability at LSU and is now almost a lock to go in the top three when Day 1 rolls around.
Curiously enough, Daniels decided to leave the combine early, via Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.
“LSU QB and Heisman winner Jayden Daniels did not do measurements today and has departed from the NFL combine, sources say. He wasn’t throwing later today and has planned to perform at LSU’s pro day on March 27,” Jones reported.

Normally, high-level prospects won’t do much in the way of drills or testing to preserve their draft standing but it’s interesting that Daniels decided to skip all of it.
While he plans to perform at LSU’s pro day later in the month, this could indicate that he either knows where he’ll go or that he didn’t want to risk any sort of dip in his draft evaluations.
Regardless, it looks like the NFL and fans will need to wait a bit longer to see how Daniels does testing on the field.
