Jaylen Brown Has A Clear Message After Game 7 Loss

The Boston Celtics failed to make history.

They came all the way back from a 3-0 deficit to even things up and had the chance to close the series out in front of their own fans, but they came up short again in a lopsided loss.

There weren’t a lot of positive things to say about the team’s performance in Game 7, with Jayson Tatum struggling with a foot injury since early in the game, and Jaylen Brown having one of the worst games of his career.

That’s why Brown wanted to be held accountable in the aftermath of the loss, admitting that they just failed to get the job done.

Brown committed a game-high eight turnovers.

His shot wasn’t falling, and even his usually-solid defense was nowhere to be found for the better part of the game.

Some believe that he wasn’t locked in and think he doesn’t want to be there anymore, citing a potential trade in the offseason.

Teams like the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks have long been tied with a potential move for Brown, one of the league’s rising stars.

Brown has been one of the best players in Boston for years now, and some might even say that he’s been more consistent than Tatum.

However, he’s now eligible to sign a five-year, supermax contract extension worth $295 million, which is why Brad Stevens will have to take a deep look in the mirror and figure out his vision for the future of the organization.
