The Boston Celtics are on their way to the NBA Finals.

Some are calling them out for having an easy path to the NBA Finals, as they faced three injury-riddled teams missing their best players.

Even so, it’s not like they blew out the Indiana Pacers.

Outside of Game 2, all the games were actually quite close, with the Pacers having big chances to win at least two of them.

That’s why Jaylen Brown wanted to give credit where it was due, letting it be known that the Pacers were a much better team than people gave them credit for.

Following the win, he stated that the Pacers were as good a team as any team they faced this season, calling out those who claimed they weren’t good (via The Athletic).

The Pacers made it to the In-Season Tournament final and had the best offense in the game.

Also, while the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks were plagued with injuries, they still did their job, and they went almost two months without losing a game at home, which is also very difficult to do in this league, let alone at this stage.

The Pacers deserve more credit; they were no pushovers.

On top of that, it makes no sense to criticize the Celtics for beating whoever was in front of them.

If anything, it showed why the regular season matters and why teams should make an effort to get the No. 1 seed and the best record in the game.
