Jaylen Brown Hints That He Knows Why He’s Not On Team USA Roster

The Boston Celtics have three players on Team USA’s roster.

Ironically, the reigning NBA Finals MVP isn’t one of them.

Of course, it’s not like Jaylen Brown was a top-tier player who should’ve definitely gotten the nod, but the fact that he wasn’t called was still somewhat surprising.

Then again, it shouldn’t even be a story, but Brown’s attitude and antics ever since have granted him plenty of attention.

First, Brown blamed Nike — the official brand of USA Basketball — for being snubbed.

Then, he followed up those accusations with some cryptic tweets.

Now, he claimed that he was going to share his side of the story one day (via Sports Illustrated & Legion Hoops).

Jaylen Brown on being left off of Team USA roster:

“One day I’ll share my story. People don’t have all the information in the world that they would like to know.”

These are some serious accusations, and he should have some information to back those claims up if he’s going to go that way.

Team USA features players who have endorsement deals with Under Armour, Skechers, and New Balance, so while Nike and Jordan are still the majority, it’s not like it’s exclusive.

Also, Brown continues to wear Nike sneakers, so that’s also strange.

The fact that Jayson Tatum didn’t seem to care about Brown being snubbed and the fact that Brown didn’t show any kind of support for his other teammate, Derrick White, getting the nod, might speak volumes about the true reason why he wasn’t asked to join the team.
