After being the better team on both ends of the basketball floor in the first three games of the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics have been forced to a Game 5 back on their home floor at TD Garden, with Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks looking like a completely different team in Game 4, resulting in a 38-point win at American Airlines Center.
Although the Mavericks crushed the Celtics in Game 4 with an impressive all-around performance, Boston is still in control of this best-of-seven series, with a crucial Game 5 set to be played on Monday night.
The Celtics will have to lick their wounds and get back to playing the level of basketball they are accustomed to playing, which should be much easier at home in front of their avid fans, who are anxious to see an NBA record 18th championship banner lifted into the rafters at TD Garden.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown knows the team is on the verge of doing something special, as everything they’ve worked toward could come to fruition tomorrow night in Boston via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston.
“We’re at the precipice of completing what we set out to do at the beginning of the season,” Brown said.

The Celtics’ loss to the Mavericks in Game 4 was only the third time they had lost a game throughout their playoff run thus far, which is impressive, to say the least.
However, Boston can’t take things lightly moving forward, even though no team in NBA history has come back from a 0-3 deficit, as the Mavericks are as resilient as any team in the league and may have figured something out in Game 4.
