Although Mac McClung claimed his second Dunk Contest victory during All-Star Weekend, Jaylen Brown made it to the final round, which is an admirable accomplishment.

The reviews for Brown’s performance were mixed but there is a chance that everyone gets to see him try again next year.

Speaking to Jared Weiss, via Legion Hoops, Brown said he’d be willing to participate in the Dunk Contest in 2025.

“If they ask me and nobody else cares to do it, f— it, I’ll do it again,” Brown said.

Brown’s dunks were undeniably impressive but it’s really hard to wow the crowd at the Dunk Contest.

Over the years, NBA fans have witnessed some truly startling feats at the annual event and they are expecting the very best of the best, something that they can talk about for months to come.

For his dunk over Kai Cenat in a chair, Brown scored 47.6 out of 50, which just wasn’t enough to overcome McClung’s work.

In the end, it seemed like McClung was an easy choice to win the contest again.

Some people were shocked to see Brown in the competition in the first place because he isn’t generally known as someone who dunks often.

But Brown saw it as an opportunity to show off this special skillset and give Celtics fans something new.

The event is usually for more creative dunks and not something that is traditional and straightforward.

Perhaps that is why some people weren’t very fond of Brown’s output.

If he does sign up to be a part of the competition next year, Brown will have a chance to silence the critics who weren’t blown away by his performance over the weekend.
