Jaylen Brown is on top of the world after winning NBA Finals MVP and heading into the first year of his NBA-record $285 million contract extension.

Even with all the accolades he recently picked up, Brown is hungry ahead of next season to follow up on his first championship, and he is channeling his inner Aquaman to take his game to the next level.

Brown shared a couple of photos from a recent pool workout that show him wearing a goggle/mask combo that makes him look like Bane while dribbling a basketball underwater and holding a 40-pound dumbbell simultaneously, while the other picture shows him doing a handstand with a dumbbell in each hand.

It’s certainly a unique workout that definitely can’t be easy and would test your cardio quite effectively, but the sheer ridiculousness of the visuals makes it hard to take this seriously.

How did he even get into this situation?

Did he jump into the pool with the dumbbell and the ball at the same time?

Was this just a photo op, or did he really try to dribble a ball underwater?

It’s also fitting that Brown is dribbling the ball with his left hand in the photo, a nod to all the criticism he received after the Celtics’ repeated playoff heartbreaks over the years that he didn’t have a left hand.

Brown was in the news this offseason for publicly voicing his displeasure with being left off Team USA while his teammate, Derrick White, was chosen as Kawhi Leonard’s replacement.

Regardless, it appears that the snub has just added more fuel to his fire and inspired him to take his workouts to the next level.
