Not so long ago, fans and analysts were debating whether Tua Tagovailoa had what it took to be the Miami Dolphins‘ answer at the quarterback position.
Mike McDaniel then took over as head coach, and the lefty was a legit MVP candidate through the first half of the season before all the concussions and gruesome hits.
Tua is obviously still a work in progress, but he finally showed glimpses of the star prospect he was during his days with the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he has the full support of his wideout corps.
Recently, star WR Jaylen Waddle claimed, via NFL.com, that the one thing that makes him so special is his ball placement.

Waddle raved about Tua’s accuracy, citing that he can put the football in places where the wideout will always have an edge and the opportunity to continue putting up yards after the catch.
Truth be told, that just wasn’t there during Tua’s early days in the league.
He didn’t boast the most impressive arm strength, and he often gambled and took unnecessary risks by committing avoidable and head-scratching turnovers.
But all young quarterbacks go through some growing pains, and it’s not like the Dolphins had done a sound job of keeping him safe or giving him enough time to operate.
Tua now has the fastest wide receiver tandem in the league and a bonafide superstar in Tyreek Hill at the WR position.
They only need to do a better job of protecting him, especially after taking so many beatings last season.
