People are still talking about the lack of time Jayson Tatum got on the court during the recent Paris Olympics.
He played a limited amount during several games and completely sat out of two of them.
This has upset many Boston Celtics fans and it didn’t sit super well with Tatum either.
According to the Boston Globe, per NBC Sports, Tatum admitted that not playing more was hard.
“It was challenging,” Tatum said.
He added:
“I can’t lie. It was challenging. Especially after the experience of the highest of the highest winning a championship, and then put in a new situation where you’ve never been in that spot before. But you know, I didn’t want to make it about me. I got a chance to come to work with 11 other guys I got nothing but love and respect for. And you know, we won. I’m happy about that.”

It’s been a wild few months for Tatum.
Back in June, he won his first NBA championship with the Celtics.
Right after that, he moved on to preparing for the Olympics, where he expected to play a lot.
In the end, head coach Steve Kerr didn’t call upon Tatum often and there are a lot of rumors about why.
Some people think Tatum’s shooting slump hurt his chances of appearing in the Olympics while others feel that Kerr holds a grudge against the Celtics.
Throughout the Olympics, a lot of people talked about Tatum’s participation with Team USA but he was not one of them.
He has kept quiet about the big games, until now.
Even though he’s disappointed that he didn’t play more, Tatum still has a positive outlook about the team’s success, which is healthy.
