It sounds like even Jayson Tatum is sick of hearing about himself.

Speaking with The Athletic, per Yahoo Sports, Tatum said he’s ready to stop seeing all the talk about him and his time in the Paris Olympics.

“I just won a championship, it’s the summertime, it might be nice to have a little break where you don’t turn on [TV] and they’re talking about you,” Tatum said.

Like everyone else, Tatum has noticed numerous articles and television appearances focused on his Team USA performance.

Many people are still conversing about Tatum and his time in Paris.

Most fans are surprised he played so little during the games and even sat out entirely of two matches.

Team USA head coach Steve Kerr said Tatum received limited time due to the number of talented stars on the roster and the “math” that made it hard to use everyone all the time.

But other people feel Kerr is holding a grudge against Tatum because of his place on the Boston Celtics.

This is something that people will continue to speak about and opinions will keep flying.

Tatum is ready for all of it to be over.

He just had the best season of his career, earned his first championship, and secured his spot as one of the most successful stars in the league.

He wanted to have some time off this summer and wished to focus on the season ahead and his team’s quest to win back-to-back championships.

Instead, he’s hearing all about his time in the Olympics.

Tatum wanted a break in the offseason but wasn’t able to have one, which may fire him up even more in 2024-25.
