The Boston Celtics are one of the most iconic franchises in the NBA.
But the Celtics haven’t been successful in terms of hanging another championship banner in the rafters since 2008.
Considering they currently have an amazing core of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, they came close to winning a title upon reaching the 2022 NBA Finals.
Unfortunately, the Celtics were outplayed by the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals as their championship drought continues.
Speaking of losing in the NBA Finals, Tatum recently shared his views on the experience, via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
“I’m a big believer in everything happens for a reason. Maybe I needed to go through that for something,” Tatum said in an interview with Malika Andrews.

Despite losing a shot at winning it all in 2022, Tatum views that experience in a positive manner.
In fact, he explained how he believes in everything happening for a reason, and at the end of the day, it can teach him a valuable lesson.
Tatum is currently viewed as one of the best players in the NBA.
If he hadn’t lost the 2022 NBA title, he may not have reached that status.
As for Tatum’s performance this season, the five-time NBA All-Star is currently one of the frontrunners to win the 2024 NBA MVP award.
He is averaging 27.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game for the Celtics this season.
Tatum’s numbers are undoubtedly the prime reason behind the Celtics being the number one seed in the Eastern Conference with a league-best 43-12 record.
Although Tatum must be aiming to win the NBA MVP award as well, winning the NBA title will truly bring him the biggest joy of his career.
