The Olympics are just around the corner, leaving fans across the globe excited to see how the games will unfold.
Some sports receive more pre-Olympics hype than others, including men’s basketball, which seems to be a common topic of discussion.
Men’s basketball has meant a lot to the Summer Olympics throughout the years, especially to Team USA.
Many dominant teams have been assembled to this point, putting some pressure on this year’s team.
The team might not be as well-rounded this year as they were during the days of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, but there are still several stars who could make a monumental impact on the United States’ chances at winning another gold medal.
Jayson Tatum, one of the players selected for this year’s team, was recently asked about the state of the roster.
Some have doubted the team’s abilities, but with Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Steph Curry on the roster, Tatum indicated that he’s playing with “three of the best players ever to play the game.”

Curry, Durant, and James have had their fair share of on-court beef in recent years.
James and Curry were arch-rivals for many seasons, as the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers were bitter rivals.
Playing for Team USA is a completely different shift from the NBA, and these superstars will be forced to work together, hoping they can do enough to bring home another gold medal.
