The Boston Celtics pulled off a huge win, all things considered.
Not only were they able to get back at the Philadelphia 76ers after an early-season loss, but they also managed to do it down two key guys, as Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis missed the game.
Needless to say, it took a team effort to get the double-digit win over their hardnosed rivals.
However, one of the guys who stood out the most was none other than the ever-young Al Horford, who played elite defense on Joel Embiid and finished the night with 14 points, four three-pointers, eight rebounds, and a whopping five blocks.
That’s why, following the game, Celtics star Jayson Tatum showered his veteran friend with praise, talking about the huge impact he makes on both ends of the floor, and even admitting he’s actually his all-time favorite NBA teammate (via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

Truth be told, it’s hard not to like a guy like Horford, a true leader on and off the court, and the kind of player who would do whatever it takes to help his team win.
Horford became a fan favorite in Boston right away, and that hasn’t changed over time.
He can start or come off the bench, play big minutes, or barely leave the bench, and he’s never going to complain about whichever role he’s asked to play.
That’s the kind of leader every locker room needs, and his impact is going to be even more crucial now that Marcus Smart is no longer there.
