The Boston Celtics have truly established themselves as the best team in the NBA this season.
It’s evident from the fact that they bolstered a 48-12 record heading into their recent Eastern Conference battle against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Celtics were the resounding favorites to win the matchup, but they ended up suffering a 104-105 defeat against the Cavaliers.
Following the loss, the Celtics’ 11-game-winning streak was snapped as they are now 48-13 this season.
After the game, Jayson Tatum shared his honest views on the unexpected loss for the Celtics via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston on Twitter.
“I look forward to us responding and playing better on Thursday,” Tatum said.

The Celtics are all set to face off against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
Keeping that in mind, Tatum and the rest of the team are now focused on forgetting this upset and winning the important matchup against the Nuggets.
After all, the Nuggets are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, as they flaunt a 42-20 record and hold the third seed.
On top of that, the Nuggets are the reigning champions of the NBA, with the dynamic duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray being the primary superstars of the team.
As for the Celtics, they still have the best record in the NBA this season and shouldn’t put too much thought into the recent defeat.
If it weren’t for Dean Wade’s 20-point performance in the fourth quarter of the game, the Celtics would have registered yet another easy defeat this season.
