It’s been a while since we last saw Harry Giles in the NBA, at least during the regular season.

The former Duke Blue Devil is working his way back to the league, and he was quite impressive in the Brooklyn Nets’ win over the Maccabi Ra’anana.

In just 21 minutes, the former first-round pick logged a double-double with 16 points, ten boards, one steal and went 8-for-10 from the field.

That’s why his fellow alumni and former teammate Jayson Tatum took to Twitter to show him some love, stating that he loved to see that kind of thing.

Giles has been out of the NBA since the 2020-21 season, struggling with multiple knee injuries throughout the course of his career.

Notably, Tatum once called him the most talented high school player he had ever faced, so it’s not a surprise to see that he’s happy to see him bouncing back and dominating the offensive glass again.

The former No. 20 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft has averaged 5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds over his three seasons in the league.

He was once the No. 1 recruit in the 2016 class, and now he’s looking to get the final roster spot for Jacque Vaughn’s team.

Giles is still young and flashes impressive strength and athleticism, and he could be an impactful piece for a Nets team that’ll look to make some noise and fight their way to the Play-in tournament.

And judging by his recent performances and seemingly increasing on-court chemistry with Ben Simmons, it wouldn’t be crazy to see him make the team.
