The Boston Celtics are one win away from the NBA Finals.
And while they have more than enough resources to pull it off, one player has been on a tear all year long, and particularly in the playoffs.
Jrue Holiday’s addition has taken this team over the top.
His defense, playmaking, and timely shotmaking have turned the Celtics into a finely-tuned machine on both ends of the floor, and he hasn’t shied away from the moment despite not being the best player on the team.
That’s why, following the win in Game 3 vs. the Indiana Pacers, Jayson Tatum tipped his hat to him, praising him for his instincts and how he always seems to make the right play on both ends of the floor (Via NBA).
“His instincts are second to none… on both ends of the floor.”
Jrue continues to get shoutouts from his teammates tonight

For years, the Celtics had one of the best defensive guards in the game in Marcus Smart, and he did knock down some big shots every now and then.
However, Holiday looks like a more mature and more refined version, and he’s been the biggest difference between the Celtics of old and this juggernaut of a team that looks poised to win an NBA championship once and for all.
Everybody in the league talked about the Damian Lillard trade and rightfully so, as it was the biggest move of the offseason.
Nonetheless, the ripple effect he had on the Boston Celtics might be what truly defined this season, and props to Brad Stevens for pulling this off.
