With the Boston Celtics losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves, there are no more undefeated teams in the league this season.
Even so, despite their record and obviously having one of the most stacked — if not the most stacked — lineups in the game, it seemed like this team was due for a loss, as they had escaped with narrow wins way too often.
The Celtics had a chance to close the game out and avoid overtime, but Jaylen Brown missed a three-pointer at the top of the arc at the buzzer.
Then, with Jayson Tatum taking care of ball-handling duties, their offense became stagnant and predictable in overtime, with multiple turnovers and just bad shots.
That’s why Tatum admitted that he needs to do better and take better care of the basketball, especially in crunch time (via Jared Weiss).
Jayson Tatum just laughed when asked what went wrong in crunch time in the Celtics’ first loss of the season: “Haha, yeah, just had way too many turnovers. I gotta do better, we all gotta do better.”

The Celtics finished the game with 16 turnovers, seven fewer than the Timberwolves.
They also shot nine more free throws, took seven more shots, and had five more offensive rebounds and six more steals.
Simply put, they lost a game they should’ve won, and while the Timberwolves — and specifically, Anthony Edwards — deserve a lot of credit for pulling off the upset at home, the Celtics had just too many self-inflicted wounds in this one.
Joe Mazzulla’s team still sits atop the Eastern Conference with a 5-1 record, and they’ll look to bounce back on Wednesday night when they visit Wells Fargo Center for a date with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
