Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is considered one of the best young players in the NBA and is mostly celebrated for his shooting and his offensive skills.
However, Tatum believes there is much more to his game than just how he shoots the ball.
Speaking with Brian Scalabrine on NBC Sports Boston, Tatum said that he does more for his Celtics.
“People want to just see me score 35 every night, but there’s just so much more to the game of basketball, and so much more that I bring to the table,” Tatum said.

Tatum pointed out the fact that he has been improving his defensive skills since his early years and can now be trusted by his teammates to get stops and minimize his opponents.
He thinks that he can limit his competitors and has only improved his defensive abilities.
Tatum is one of the most talked-about players in the league but he’s also someone who faces a ton of criticism.
Although he is a great shooter, some people say he isn’t the natural leader that the Celtics need and that he can crack under pressure.
It is true that Tatum’s Celtics haven’t had the best luck in the postseason over the last few years.
They have gone far and even reached the Finals, but they haven’t been able to go all the way and win a title.
Some people place blame on Tatum and say that he was the weak link during previous seasons.
Tatum has tried to silence those critics but he will be facing a ton of pressure in the days ahead during the Finals.
He will need to show everything that he brings to the team and how he can help them win a championship.
