Last season, it seemed like Danny Ainge was up to something with the Utah Jazz roster he had built.
Will Hardy’s team fought hard on both ends of the floor, and they were quite tough to beat at home.

With the regular season winding down, it makes little to no sense to have him back on the court at this point.
Markkanen is the building block and centerpiece of the Jazz’s project right now, and they need to preserve him and make sure to get him back to full strength for the upcoming campaign.
The former Chicago Bulls forward broke out as soon as he left the Windy City, first excelling with the Cleveland Cavaliers before getting traded to Utah.
He’s a bona fide volume shooter who can stretch the floor at the four or the five, thanks to his rare combination of shooting and height.
He’s also the most valuable potential trade asset the Jazz have right now, so by no means should they have him suit up again this season.
