Unlike last year, when the 2023 NBA Draft was a highly anticipated event with potential superstars Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, and Brandon Miller coming into the league, the 2024 NBA Draft isn’t expected to bring much game-changing talent into the league.
There’s no generational talent in this upcoming draft like Wembanyama, and star players might even be tough to find, as most of the players in this draft class will be players that most people will have to look up on Google.
With that said, it seems as though a lot of teams are a lot more open to wheeling and dealing ahead of next month’s draft, including the Atlanta Hawks, who shockingly won the NBA Draft Lottery earlier this month.
According to Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, via Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Utah Jazz, who own two picks in the first round on June 26, are willing to move both picks if it means adding a “win-now player” to their roster moving forward.
The Jazz are expected to shop their two first-round picks — Nos. 10 + 29 — for a win-now player, @MikeAScotto (https://t.co/ae4omtzrei).

After seemingly being a team on the rise in the Western Conference after last season’s performance, the Jazz took two steps back rather than a giant leap forward during the 2023-24 campaign, finishing with six fewer wins than the previous year.
Although the Jazz are far from being contenders, they might be a playoff team by adding one or two pieces to the puzzle in Utah, and that might be able to come to fruition if they get some trade interest in these two first-round picks in the upcoming draft.
