Back in 1995, Jerry Jones was on top of the world as owner of the Dallas Cowboys franchise, as his team was able to string together three Super Bowl titles with Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin leading the way.
Since then, the Cowboys have really struggled to have the same kind of success in the NFL playoffs, even though Jones does everything within his power to put the best football team possible on the gridiron year after year.
Coming into the 2023 NFL season, Jones and his front office have put together another very talented team on both sides of the football, with high hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl and winning a fourth title since he took over as owner.
Jones was recently asked about the outlook for his team in 2023 and where he thinks the team can go from here, and in classic Jones fashion, he believes this team can be a title contender, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Most of the time, the Cowboys make a lot of noise for what they’ve done to improve the offense, with many big-name stars coming through the organization on that side of the football.
In 2023, Dallas is making headlines for having one of the best defenses in the league, led by Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and DeMarcus Lawrence.
The Cowboys need to be talented on offense as well to win it all and are just that with Dak Prescott leading the way along with Tony Pollard, CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Zack Martin.
If this team can finally put it all together, Jones may be right that the Cowboys are legitimate title contenders in 2023.
