The New York Jets established themselves as one of the NFL’s best defenses in 2022.

However, due to their lack of offensive production, their overall output as a team left something to be desired.

If they’re able to get the offense figured out, however, the Jets could have a significant turnaround in 2023.

As PFF has recently highlighted, the Jets’ top three cornerbacks were ranked in the top 20 at the position from the 2022 campaign.

Sauce Gardner was ranked first, D.J. Reed was in the 19th position, and Michael Carter II in the 20th.

Gardner won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award last season and is already seen as one of, if not the best defensive back in the league.

The Jets have two players named Michael Carter, but for our purposes, we’re referring to the DB, not the running back.

Regardless, this ranking is important for the Jets as they head into the 2023 season.

As previously mentioned, the Jets’ defense allowed just 18.6 points per game last year, the fourth-best mark in the league.

If these three cornerbacks are able to emulate their success from 2022, they should be in a great position to succeed.

By adding Aaron Rodgers, the Jets hope to solidify that side of the ball, leading to a much more complete season.

The AFC East has now gotten that much more difficult, now that Rodgers is in the division.

The Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots have all taken strides toward improvement during the offseason.

Who will end the season as the victor?
