The New York Jets just received terrible news.
Adam Schefter of ESPN just confirmed the team’s biggest fear about Chuck Clark’s situation: the veteran safety will miss the entire season with a torn ACL.
Further testing confirmed that Jets’ safety Chuck Clark suffered a season-ending torn ACL during practice earlier this month, per sources. Jets signed veteran safety Adrian Amos after Clark got hurt.

Clark suffered the injury during practice earlier this month, with the Jets rushing to sign Adrian Amos as an insurance policy.
Notably, the 28-year-old hadn’t been in New York for long.
They traded for him in March, sending a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens to get him.
He didn’t have a history of injuries in his six-year career in the league, missing just one game thus far and making 96 appearances.
He also played 1,200 consecutive defensive snaps, dating all the way back to the 2021 season.
Clark was expected to have a prominent role in Robert Saleh’s elite defense.
Now, Amos will most likely take his place after signing a one-year deal that could go all the way to $4 million.
He started every single game at free safety for the Packers over the past four years and came with plenty of experience and pedigree, so they could’ve definitely done a lot worse to replace Clark.
He’s just one of many former Packers that seemed to follow Aaron Rodgers to Gotham, and the Jets expect that having a future Hall-of-Famer at quarterback will be just enough to finally get over the hump and win another Super Bowl.
