Jets Have Signed A New QB

New York Jets fans can breathe a sigh of relief as this move has nothing to do with Aaron Rodgers.

The four-time MVP quarterback and Super Bowl champion is at training camp and looking to help take this team to a place it hasn’t been in a long, long time.

However, the team announced recently on social media that they have signed former Northwestern quarterback Ben Bryant.

The 2023 Las Vegas Bowl MVP is now looking to make a solid impression on the Jets this training camp in the hopes of earning a possible roster or practice squad spot.

This is an interesting signing for multiple reasons.

First of all, the Jets likely have three quarterbacks on the roster that they feel comfortable with.

Arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time in Rodgers is fully healthy and ready to lead this team this year.

Then, there is a very capable backup in soon-to-be 14-year veteran Tyrod Taylor, who has plenty of experience starting in this league.

Those two are slam-dunks.

Finally, there is rookie Jordan Travis, who was drafted out of Florida State in the fifth round of the NFL Draft this year.

Travis is fascinating because he is going to be spending part of the season rehabbing from injury, but the former ACC Player of the Year was one of the best playmakers in the country down in Tallahassee during his college career.

He could be the quarterback of the future after Rodgers hangs up his cleats.

So unless the Jets are planning on carrying four quarterbacks on the active roster this season, Ben Bryant might not have a future in New York this season.
