The New York Jets are at joint practices with the Washington Commanders this week, which means players are starting to show their true selves in a competitive environment ahead of the preseason.

According to insider Connor Hughes, one player who has shown up and shown out for Gang Green is star wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

“Garrett Wilson, absolutely dominant…This was undeniably the best practice for Wilson that I have seen this Summer,” Hughes recently said of Wilson’s efforts in the latest joint practice.

If Wilson plays like he practices this season, the sky can be the limit for him and this New York offense.

Remember, he is coming off of back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons without Aaron Rodgers starting.

Now that the four-time MVP is healthy, the 2024 season could see this duo become arguably the best in the league.

Aside from Rodgers and possibly star running back Breece Hall, Wilson is the team’s most important skill player.

His ability to get open and confuse defenders all at the same time is so rare for a player who is just 24 years of age.

Judging by his performances in practice, it feels as though he is a very hungry player looking to prove himself yet again to the team and the rest of the league.

With the addition of big-play threat Mike Williams and talented rookie receiver Malachi Corley, defenses could have a very difficult time stopping the New York passing attack.

Look for more of these kinds of practice performances from Wilson as the regular season gets closer.
