Jets Will Face Cowboys Without A Key Player

The New York Jets offense took a massive hit in Week 1 when Aaron Rodgers was lost for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season due to a ruptured Achilles.

Rodgers’ debut with the Jets was a highly-anticipated event on Monday Night Football, but now the Jets will have to make do with Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback.

Wilson did just enough to lead New York to a comeback win over the Buffalo Bills, though he faces a much stiffer test in Week 2 as he and the team hit the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are also coming off a win after they dismantled the New York Giants in every phase of the game.

Dallas’ defense looked like a Super Bowl-caliber unit which could spell trouble for Wilson who has shown he’s prone to turning the ball over.

Even if Wilson does manage to get New York into scoring positions, they might struggle to get points as they’ll be without kicker Greg Zuerlein via Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Zuerlein injured his groin in practice this past Thursday which forced the Jets to scramble for a replacement.

After working out a few options, New York landed on veteran Austin Seibert to start in place of Zuerlein against Dallas.

The hits feel like they keep on coming for the Jets who came into the season with so much promise and potential.

Perhaps the team can surprise the NFL world once again, though it’s hard to imagine them beating the Cowboys.
