Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is always a great person to go to for a good quote that’ll get you fired up for the day.
His most recent press conference at the beginning of Chargers training camp didn’t disappoint, as he once again dropped a gem that will surely wind up on a t-shirt or a coffee mug somewhere.
ESPN’s Kris Rhim shared a clip of the beginning of Harbaugh’s press conference, and the coach said after Day 1 of camp, “Feels like New Year’s Day. Feels like being born. It was like coming out of the womb.”

Harbaugh is fresh off a National Championship with Michigan last season and is now back in the NFL after finally accomplishing what he set out to do at his alma mater.
His next task will be doing the same for one of the NFL’s more dysfunctional franchises that has gone through too much instability in recent years.
The Chargers are opening training camp with a lot of new faces in town, especially on the offensive side of the ball where wide receivers Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are both gone after spending such a long time in SoCal, while Austin Ekeler is also gone out of the backfield as well and will be replaced by Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins.
It’s unclear what Harbaugh means by the first day of training camp feeling like coming out of the womb, but it’s provocative and it gets the people going.
Chargers fans got themselves a gem.
