The Las Vegas Raiders entered the 2023 season with a lot of confidence.
They were excited to see what their roster could do, especially after making a monumental change at quarterback.
However, when Jimmy Garoppolo fell to injury, things went south quickly for this team.
They fired Josh McDaniel early on in the year, promoting Antonio Pierce to step in as the interim.
While Pierce quickly won over the locker room, whether he will be their full-time option remains to be seen.
Jim Harbaugh reportedly has interest in the job, but there appears to be a caveat.
NFL reporter Tony Pauline indicated that if Harbaugh takes the Raiders job, he would like to reunite with his quarterback from Michigan, J.J. McCarthy.

McCarthy saw his draft stock rise throughout the season, and after seeing him clinch a national title, he has gotten even higher in many people’s minds.
This is said to be a loaded class of wide receivers and quarterbacks, all having a potential opportunity to impact their future teams monumentally.
Assuming Harbaugh takes the job in Las Vegas, will they even have an opportunity to draft McCarthy?
They are currently in the No. 13 overall spot in the 2024 NFL Draft.
While conventional wisdom might indicate that McCarthy will still be there, the draft is a new adventure every year.
Several teams could trade up or into the first round, especially if they need a quarterback.
Teams might have to make moves to get the players they want in the upcoming draft, as quarterbacks and elite skill position players are at a premium these days.
