The Miami Heat got a true leader when they landed Jimmy Butler, but they also got a bit of a troll.
It seems like the only things that Butler takes seriously are his coffee, the playoffs, and his conditioning.
That was again on full display today when, for the second year in a row, he decided to pay NBA media a bit of a prank.
He showed up with an emo hairdo, his eyebrows and lip pierced, and wearing full emo apparel to his media day, (via NBACentral).

This will now force the league to use that picture of him for the remainder of the season, just like in the school’s yearbook.
It happened last season when he arrived at media day with fake dreadlocks and cut them off right before the start of the season.
Perhaps he made a bet with some friends, perhaps he lost his fantasy football league, perhaps he just doesn’t care.
Whatever the case, we can all agree that this is as hilarious as it is bold, and we cannot wait to see what the has ready for us next season.
Also, this was a nice way to divert attention from the fact that Pat Riley and the Heat failed to land Damian Lillard after months of speculation and back-and-forth.
The Heat lost plenty of depth in the offseason, but they’re the kind of team that always figures things out and becomes a threat in the playoffs with a bunch of undrafted players.
