The Cincinnati Bengals finally got their guy.

Joe Burrow is clearly a special player, and it’s hard to believe that not many people saw that when he made the transition from high school to college.

Burrow redshirted one year at Ohio State and spent two seasons as J.T. Barrett’s backup under Urban Meyer’s tutelage.

Sick and tired of not getting on the field, he transferred to LSU, where he would go on to have one of the greatest seasons in college football history and become the undisputed No. 1 pick.

So, ever since he made it to the league, there has been a bit of a debate among LSU and OSU fans about whether the latter could claim Burrow as his.

With that in mind, Burrow made it loud and clear that he’s an LSU product, although he did admit he ‘went to school’ at Ohio State. (via Yahoo Sports).

That should put an end to the debate, although there should’ve never been a debate to begin with.

Burrow’s stint with the Buckeyes finished with ten games, in which he completed 29 of 39 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

Chances are we would’ve never got to see what he was truly capable of if he had stayed with the Buckeyes.

Now, he’s established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the game, being the main figure behind the Bengals’ major turnaround.

Props to the LSU staff for believing in him and helping him become the player he is nowadays.
