Joe Burrow Reveals His Ideal Preseason Action

For years, NFL stars have advocated for shortening the preseason.

Chances are that if you were to ask all of them, nine out of ten players would choose not to have any sort of preseason at all and go straight from training camp to the actual season.

That’s obviously not ideal for reserves or third-stringers looking to make a name for themselves, but starters will most likely just go through the motions and avoid getting hurt.

That’s why Joe Burrow was quite blunt and straight-forward when asked about his perfect preseason action.

Talking to Kay Adams on Up & Adams, he claimed that the perfect preseason for him would entail just getting one drive, scoring, and not playing again.

What’s JOE BURROW’S ideal preseason action entail???

This makes perfect sense, particularly for a player who’s struggled with injuries in two of his four seasons in the league.

Football is a physical sport, not to mention the fact that the players often put their bodies through the ultimate tests.

Needless to say, that means that injuries are always a possibility, and they clearly don’t want to put their bodies and their livelihood at risk for a seemingly meaningless game.

Of course, pre-season snaps are also great for teams to get a hold of the speed of the game and get their legs back under them or develop chemistry.

Still, championship-caliber teams usually start off the season in mid-season form, and if the league wants to add another regular-season contest to the schedule, they might have to consider shortening the preseason even further.
