The Cleveland Browns have been one of the most resilient teams during the 2023 NFL season as they’ve somehow been able to churn out wins despite some serious injuries to key players on their offense.
The Browns have been without Nick Chubb and Deshaun Watson as they were ruled out for the remainder of the year with knee and shoulder injuries, respectively.
However, players like Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt have stepped up in Chubb’s absence to keep the run game afloat.
As for the quarterback position, head coach Kevin Stefanski initially rotated between P.J. Walker and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Walker and Thompson-Robinson had flashes, but the team ultimately decided to hand the reins over to Joe Flacco who instantly breathed new life into the offense.
Flacco had a vintage performance in Cleveland’s Week 14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that had fans buzzing via NFL.

Flacco finished the game with 45 pass attempts, completing 26 of them for 311 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
The veteran signal caller connected with tight end David Njoku twice early in the game, though he later had to work for his completions as the Jaguars fought back with a hobbled Trevor Lawrence.
It was a close game in the second half, though Flacco and the Browns were able to hold on for the win and improve to 8-5.
Flacco was elevated from the practice squad for the contest, and after this win it’s highly likely he retains the starting job.
Cleveland is a well-coached team that has a defense that can stop anybody, but Flacco’s control of the system should give fans hope they can still compete in the playoffs.
