The Boston Celtics may have survived a major health scare.

They left the TD Garden with a 2-0 series lead in the NBA Finals, and they’re expected to be at full strength when they hit the road to square off vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

Some were worried that wasn’t going to be the case after watching Kristaps Porzingis leave the floor late in the fourth quarter.

The big man hurt his leg when he crashed against PJ Washington while going for a layup.

He started limping and while he stayed on the floor for a couple of minutes, he ended up checking out with roughly under five minutes left to play.

However, it seems like it was just a precaution, as coach Joe Mazzulla isn’t worried about his availability one bit (via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

When asked whether Porzingis was at risk of missing Game 3, Mazzulla claimed that he was perfectly fine.

“Zero. He’s good.”

Porzingis was in just his second game back after missing five weeks with a non-contact injury.

The Celtics have proven to be more than capable of getting the job done without him, but his combination of shooting and rim protection make him a major factor for Mazzulla’s team.

Now, with a 2-0 series lead and about to hit the road, they might handle his minutes a little more carefully in the next couple of contests.
