The Boston Celtics have plenty of experience on the roster, but their project is also sustainable for years to come, and we’re not talking just about the players.
Joe Mazzulla is just walking the first steps of his career as an NBA coach, and he should have a long and successful career.
Despite his youth, he’s already in some elite company.
As shown by ESPN on Twitter, Mazzulla became the youngest head coach to make it to the NBA Finals since Bill Russell did so in 1969.

At just 35 years of age, Mazzulla has already made a name for himself as one of the best offensive coaches in the league.
Granted, he’s also got plenty of talent to work with, and he wasn’t even supposed to be a head coach until the Ime Udoka scandal broke.
Nonetheless, he’s been elite at game-planning.
Mazzulla still needs to work on his in-game adjustments, and he often allows opposing teams to go on big runs.
But when his pre-game plan works, which happens often, he’s one of the best in business.
He’ll now be in charge of doing what no Celtics coach has done since Doc Rivers more than 15 years ago, which is to raise another banner at the TD Garden.
The Celtics are four wins away from winning a league-high 18th NBA championship.
But with a date with Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic most likely ahead of him, the young coach will have to put in a lot of work to finish the job.
