The Boston Celtics are walking on clouds right now.
They have already secured a spot in the NBA Finals, and they will have plenty of time to rest, heal, and get ready for the big stage.
That means they have a strong chance to be at full strength for when it matters the most.
According to coach Joe Mazzulla, Kristaps Porzingis has been ramping things up on the court over the past couple of days.
And while he didn’t want to make any promises, it seems like he could be on the floor for Game 1 of the Finals (via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

Porzingis has been out after going down with a non-contact calf injury in Game 4 of the first-round series vs. the Miami Heat.
The Celtics have gone 9-1 without him and 12-2 overall in the playoffs, including 6-0 on the road.
Still, having a player of his caliber back on the court would obviously be a huge boost, especially considering that both the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves boast stout and physical frontcourts.
Calf injuries are quite tricky and could lead to further and more serious injuries, which is why the players can’t afford to rush their way back to the court, and Porzingis does have a long history of injuries.
Nonetheless, it’s been a month since he suffered the ailment, and with the NBA Finals set to start on June 6, he’s going to have another week to recover and get back on the floor at some point in the series.
