Not many times do NFL fans get to see a player get drafted to his favorite team growing up.
Well, this is exactly the case with rookie quarterback Joe Milton.
While speaking with the New England media, Milton spoke about his fandom for the team.
According to insider Ben Volin, the sixth-round quarterback first became a Patriots fan when he was 8 while watching the game with his mom’s boyfriend.

Now, he will get his chance to play for his favorite team.
As things currently stand on the depth chart, Milton will be the No. 3 quarterback on the depth chart.
The team drafted Drake Maye with the No. 3 overall draft selection in the hopes of him taking the reins as the team’s franchise guy.
New England also brought in veteran Jacoby Brissett, who was drafted in the third round by New England back in 2016.
The journeyman will mentor mainly Maye, but look for Milton to also take notes.
The former Tennessee Volunteer threw for 2,769 yards and 20 touchdowns in his final year in Knoxville last year.
He could be a quality developmental piece with the Pats, who will be looking to get off on the right foot in Jerod Mayo’s first season as head coach.
This is a team that has very low expectations entering the year, especially without Bill Belichick being in the building and the reconstruction of the roster from an offense perspective.
Fans of the team need to be patient as they will need to go through some growing pains before becoming contenders again.
