The Philadelphia 76ers had a tricky and challenging summer with the stressful James Harden situation, which left many NBA fans wondering what the new season would be like for them.
While there’s still a long way to go, things are off to a terrific start.
The Sixers currently have the best record in the Eastern Conference, sitting at 6-1.
On Wednesday night, a celebratory and proud Joel Embiid made a slight dig at Harden.
“No one has an ego on this team,” Embiid said following a win over the Boston Celtics, via NBACentral.

Multiple stars came out to shine during the 76ers’ 106-103 win over the Celtics.
Embiid led the way with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.
But Tyrese Maxey was also solid with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Tobias Harris scored 17 points, and Kelly Oubre Jr. continued to do well with 14 points.
The team is working very well together and has accumulated some strong, impressive wins.
So far this season, they have only lost to one team, the Milwaukee Bucks, who beat them on opening night by a single point.
Since then, Embiid and his squad have overpowered the Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, and now the Celtics.
A few of those teams could be NBA Finals contenders, which makes the wins even more important and impressive.
Harden did a lot of great things for the team, and they didn’t want to see him go, but it is now apparent that there will be life for the 76ers after his departure.
The 76ers look re-focused and re-committed and are playing better than they have in a long time.
