The Boston Celtics have been insanely dominant this season.

Numbers-wise, they have a case for being one of the best teams in the league in recent years.

Nonetheless, people still don’t give them credit for the way they’ve thrived thus far.

The narrative about them is that they’ve only gotten to face injury-depleted teams, thus making their postseason run all the less impressive.

That includes Joel Embiid, who recently dismissed all the talk about them potentially being a dynasty.

Talking during his appearance during the NBA Finals, Embiid claimed that the whole Eastern Conference was hurt, himself included (via NBA Central).

Embiid has historically struggled against the Celtics, so he doesn’t have bragging rights against them by any means, and he’s openly talked about that.

However, he might be right about that.

A team must win multiple times in a short period of time before being considered a dynasty, and this would be their first championship as a group.

The Celtics have the best roster in the league and should continue to be the most dominant team in the Eastern Conference for years to come.

Still, a healthy Joel Embiid, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell, Tyrese Haliburton, etc, could’ve made life a little tougher for them, and there are multiple teams in the East that should also be very competitive for years to come.

You have to crawl before you can walk, and while the Celtics have all the potential in the world, they need to seal the deal first before all this dynasty talk.
