The Baltimore Ravens have flirted with Super Bowl contention for way too much time already.

The team has spent big in the offseason and even hired a new offensive coordinator to make the most of Lamar Jackson’s talents, so it feels like it’s kind of now or never for them.

That’s also what HC John Harbaugh wants his players to feel ahead of the season, as the team has been working hard in the offseason to be ready for Week 1.

When asked about their mindset for the upcoming camp, the head coach made it clear that he wants them to give their all.

“Preparation pays off. We reap what we sow,” Harbaugh said, per Sarah Ellison.

Most teams don’t take this time of year that seriously; they just want to take a glimpse at those players looking to earn their spots on the team, while their starters and most prominent players take it lightly to avoid injuries.

That’s not the case in Baltimore this season.

They want to get the intensity up a notch right away, knowing that it’s going to be a complicated season.

The AFC North is arguably the most competitive division in the league, as all four teams could be legit playoff contenders.

Jackson has a chip on his shoulder after all that was said of him in the offseason, and he’ll have a big responsibility to deliver after being signed to a massive new deal.
