For years, college hoops fans wondered whether the Kentucky Wildcats could hold their own in the NBA.

Needless to say, there’s no way a college basketball team would find any sort of success in the pros, as they’re not used to playing an 82-game season, are not as talented, and are simply younger.

Nonetheless, with John Calipari at the helm, the Wildcats were a never-ending pool of talent, both for the NBA and some teams overseas.

With that in mind, one of those former Wildcats who wound up finding success in the league, John Wall, took the liberty of putting together his all-time starting five of Kentucky alumni who made it to the league (via FanDuel TV).

At the point, unsurprisingly, he chose himself, who went on to be selected as the No. 1 pick of the NBA Draft.

Then, by his side, he’d have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the ultimate late bloomer and a true two-way superstar.

He chose Devin Booker to play as his small forward, giving the team another elite shot-maker.

Then, at the four, he had a fellow No. 1 pick in Anthony Davis, one of the most talented two-way players of all time.

Last but not least, he went with his former college teammate DeMarcus Cousins to round out the team.

Truth be told, this starting lineup could’ve made a lot of noise in the league if they had all been in their prime, and it’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for this program now that Calipari is no longer there.
