Playing in the NBA makes you a part of a unique and exclusive brotherhood, and many players who make it to the league also came out of the University of Kentucky, another prestigious brotherhood that has produced some of the best players of all time.

John Wall and Anthony Davis are a part of that brotherhood, and Wall recently spoke out about some of the criticism his fellow Wildcat faces as one of the NBA’s best big men.

In a recent appearance on Run It Back on FanDuel TV, Wall weighed in on the Lakers superstar and said that AD has everything you’d want in a big man but said “Sometimes they say he goes missing” and struggles with inconsistency and injuries.

Wall also said that the Lakers are much better when AD is being aggressive, which is often a criticism he faces from fans for being too comfortable settling for jumpers or not looking for his shot at all.

Davis played a career-high 76 games this past season and averaged a career-high 12.6 rebounds a game as the Lakers chose to deploy smaller lineups around him over the past couple of years.

Despite the numbers, the Lakers once again fell in the playoffs at the hands of the Denver Nuggets for the second year in a row in resounding fashion despite AD’s 27.6 points and 15.6 rebounds per game in the playoffs.

Some of the criticism with AD has been warranted given the amount of time he has missed in recent years, but he is still one of the best in the game and will face plenty of unnecessary backlash given the fact that he wears purple and gold.
