The Indianapolis Colts have recently found themselves at the forefront of NFL news.

Jonathan Taylor, one of the league’s top running backs, has recently requested a trade due to conversations with team owner Jim Irsay.

Soon after this trade request was made public, reports of a back injury for Taylor surfaced, which could result in him being placed on the non-football injury list.

While this seemed like an interesting time to release this information, Taylor took to Twitter to set the record straight.

In a tweet that has gone viral, Taylor indicated that not only has he not suffered back pain, but he’s never made the team aware of any pain.

1.) Never had a back pain.

2.) Never reported back pain.

Not sure who “sources” are, but find new ones

He also called out some of the league’s top news-breakers, indicating they should “find new ones” regarding their sources.

Taylor’s comments are the latest in what has been a tumultuous season for running backs.

Despite being impactful players for their respective rosters, the value of running backs has been highly debated throughout the offseason.

Taylor has been clamoring for an extension with the Colts.

If recent comments are any indication, it looks like his time with the organization could be in serious jeopardy.

When a team’s owner and one of their top players are at odds, it’s never a good thing.

Despite this tension, Irsay has maintained that he will not give into this request and trade Taylor.

With just over a month until the NFL season begins, how will this situation be resolved between Taylor and the Colts?
