In just three seasons, Jonathan Taylor has made a monumental impact on the Indianapolis Colts roster.
He has totaled 3,841 total rushing yards and 33 rushing touchdowns, and has added 104 receptions in the process.
After leading the league in rushing in 2021, and having a fantastic 2022 season before his injury, Taylor believes he’s in for a big payday.
When referencing the Colts, Taylor said, “Hopefully they can see the value,” according to Stephen Holder, via Dov Kleiman.
Update: The #Colts and RB Jonathan Taylor have had talks about a new contract and he’s hoping to land an extension before the season starts.

Taylor suffered a high ankle sprain last year, missing the Colts’ last five games of the season.
His current health status is relatively unknown, as little updates have been provided during the offseason,
Judging by Taylor’s recent comments, however, it appears that he’s ready to hit the field in a big way.
Will the Colts respond with a massive contract extension before the season starts, as Taylor is hoping for?
While Taylor has established himself as one of the league’s best backs, recent contract trends at the running back position could be an unfortunate sign.
Take Austin Ekeler, for instance.
Ekeler is coming off one of his best career seasons, yet, he hasn’t been signed to a contract past the 2023 campaign.
Taylor was injured last season but performed well before that.
Will the Colts still sign Taylor to a massive running back contract during the offseason?
Or, will they take a similar approach to the Chargers, and wait one more season to see how things play out?
Regardless of this decision, it could be a sign of things to come for other young running backs.
