The Green Bay Packers have high hopes and expectations for their new QB1 starting this season.
Jordan Love paid his dues, stood his ground, put his head down, and continued to work hard amid all the turmoil and narratives during Aaron Rodgers’ tenure, and now it’s his time to prove what he’s got.
Notably, it seems like the young quarterback knows who to reach out to for a piece of advice, and it’s not his former teammate.
Instead, Love has been in touch with Peyton Manning, according to Ryan Wood.
Jordan Love told me he chatted with Peyton Manning before practice. He’s about to go speak with him some more now. “Nothing about going on ‘Quarterbacks’ though,” he said.
Love smiled talking about breaking off a few deep balls with 18 there.

Per Wood, Love told him that he was going to continue talking with the legendary quarterback in the future, jokingly adding that it has nothing to do with being featured on Netflix’s “Quarterback,” which is being produced by Manning’s Omaha Productions.
The Packers organization and the players have rallied in support of Love, lauding his leadership and work ethic and raving about how much he’s improved in the offseason.
He hasn’t been very impressive in the few chances he’s got to play thus far, but it’s normal to expect some growing pains throughout the course of a young quarterback’s career.
The Packers are no longer the favorite to come out of the NFC North without Rodgers, and rightfully so.
But they still have a good coach, a solid defense, and a promising receiving corps, so they might do just fine with Love under center and could even make the playoffs this season.
For that, Peyton could definitely give him a couple of pointers.
