It’s a new era for the Green Bay Packers who are going to be featuring a new starting quarterback for the first time in decades.
After a dramatic offseason involving Aaron Rodgers who had been grumbling about how the franchise operated, the two sides finally decided to part ways.
Green Bay shipped out Rodgers to the New York Jets and are now slated to begin the 2023 season with Jordan Love under center.
Love spent the past couple of seasons as Rodgers’ understudy but will now be given the reins to the offense.
Love has played sparingly in his short NFL tenure, but through two preseason games has looked in control and made some impressive plays.
Packers fans may be a little nervous about the upcoming season, but Love sent a confident message out when discussing Week 1 and the rest of the year.
“I’m definitely ready for week 1 and carry on throughout the season,” Love said via The Score.

The young quarterback’s confidence is a positive sign for Green Bay and the franchise as they navigate uncertain waters for the upcoming year.
The former first-round pick has the talent and pedigree to make things work, though they face stiffer competition in the NFC North.
The Detroit Lions are a team on the rise considering the players they have on both sides of the football field, while the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears will be looming around the corner as well.
While the Packers may have trouble making the playoffs this year, the most important thing is Love’s growth and development so it will be interesting to see how things shake out.
